Chief Executive Officer - Stephen Hall, MCom(Hons), CA, CTP
Stephen joined Genesis in September 2000 and was appinted CEO in December 2004. He has been involved in all aspects of the company’s commercial activity: including partnerships, negotiations, business development, intellectual property, corporate structure, capital markets and governance. Stephen worked for what is now known as KPMG for five years. He then held the role of General Manager at Boart Australia before returning to New Zealand. He spent seven years with the Feltex Group, working in finance and general management roles, including Manager of Feltex Yarns and Thorobred Yarns. For seven years Stephen was General Manager Finance & Administration for Watercare Services. Prior to joining Genesis, Stephen was CFO and Company Secretary of St Lukes Group.
Consultant - ssRNAi Product Development – Glen Reid, PhD

After graduating from the University of Canterbury with an MSc (Hons) in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Glen obtained his PhD in Physiology from the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, Germany. He then spent 3 years as a postdoctoral scientist with Professor Piet Borst at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam, studying the phenomenon of multidrug resistance in cancer cells. Glen worked at Genesis from 2004 to 2009 on a number of RNAi projects, most recently leading a discovery programme to identify and validate RNAi target genes in cancer and was the primary inventor of the single stranded gene silencing technology now being developed by Solirna Biosciences Ltd. He is currently Senior Research Scientist at the Asbestos Diseases Research Institute at the University of Sydney.
Financial Controller – Ewe Poh Lim, B.Econs (Hons), CA
Ewe Poh Lim joined Genesis as Financial Controller in October 2007. She is responsible for all aspects of the finance and accounting functions for Genesis, including financial reporting and taxation. Ewe Poh has more than 15 years of extensive career in finance in New Zealand. Her previous appointments includes five years as Finance Manager of Lodestar, Carter Holt Harvey and five years as Company/Line Accountant of Tasman Asia Shipping/Tasman Orient Line, a subsidiary of the then Fletcher Challenge. Before joining Genesis, Ewe Poh served one year as Financial Controller in Sofrana Shipping NZ. Ewe Poh is a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants.
