Auckland, New Zealand, 16th February 2001 – Genesis Research and Development Corporation Ltd [NZSE & ASX: GEN] confirms that the announcement made to the market on Thursday 15th February 2001 is factually accurate and complete. The Company is aware of analyst and media reports in North America suggesting that the PVAC™ vaccine failed the trial. Those reports do not change our view of the trial results discussed in the release to the market on 15th February. The data will be provided to the FDA as part of the final study report together with a draft protocol for the next study. The trial confirmed that PVAC™ at the 15 microgram dosage provided appreciable benefit for patients who did not have a history of treatment with certain immunosuppressive drugs. The details of the trial results are included in the statement issued to the NZSE on 15th February 2001.
